Twelve (one has since died) baby turkeys arrived to Animal Place in November, saved from a large hatchery.

This is the remaining eleven poults exploring their new pasture, flapping around wildly, and enjoying some treats from a free “salad bar”.

These turkeys would have been de-beaked (part of their beak cut off), de-toed (first digits of their toes cut off) all without pain relief. They would have been shipped to a farm, where they would have lived with 10,000-15,000 other birds before being killed at the young age of 4-months.

Now they will live out their lives at Animal Place. You can help – go vegan.
