BASTA GABBIE: indagine negli allevamenti di conigli in Italia

Il nostro team investigativo ha realizzato questa indagine tra il settembre 2021 e l’aprile 2022, all’interno di sette allevamenti di conigli per la produzione di carne situati in Veneto, Lombardia ed Emilia-Romagna.
Le immagini mostrano la presenza di cadaveri, animali con lesioni alle zampe e alla testa, e conigli che manifestano comportamenti stereotipati. Queste problematiche sono riconducibili alle condizioni di allevamento in gabbia e alla conseguente mancanza di spazio vitale e di stimoli ambientali positivi per gli animali, come dimostra la letteratura scientifica.
Diffondiamo questa investigazione assieme alla coalizione End the Cage Age per chiedere che il Governo italiano prenda una netta posizione contro l’uso delle gabbie negli allevamenti, sostenendo l’impegno della Commissione europea e promuovendo anche a livello nazionale l’adozione urgente di una normativa che ne vieti l’utilizzo.
