At Thoroughbred auctions, juvenile horses are driven to run an eighth- or quarter-mile at breakneck speeds they’ll never again reach while racing—if they survive. Forcing physically immature horses to sprint at reckless speeds just to inflate auction prices is greedy & foolish. Auction companies need to implement our recommendations before more horses end up like her.
