This is how you can help end elephant riding in Vietnam

Asian elephants at Vietnam’s Yok Don National Park used to have to give rides to tourist all day.

They were trapped in the wild and trained with violence to give rides.

They spent the vast majority of their lives on short chains unable to express natural behaviours – but that has all changed.

Thanks to the new tourism model being pioneered in the park, the elephants are free to roam the forest while tourists trek into the jungle to watch and learn about this iconic species in their natural environment.
